Phyllis Mahaney - Pammer’s Pet Wear

After many years of teaching children and adults, the opportunity to create and sell petwear evolved for Phyllis Mahaney. She attended her first dog show in 1998 and sold only simple scarves. Customers asked for other handcrafted, customized products, and PAMMER’S PETWEAR was born.

Phyllis designed and sold snoods (for those dogs whose ears hang in their food) and consigned with other entrepreneurs to provide customers with quality products at reasonable prices. She quickly expanded to include coats, britches, bows, totes, boots, hats, collars, and costumes. Soon more than 10 small businesses were brokered through Pammer’s Petwear.

Phyllis’s heart is with rescue dogs, and she and her husband have taken in many wonderful dogs over the years. Their dogs serve as models and inspiration, and the business has allowed her time to transport many dogs from shelters to safe havens with reputable rescue organizations.
