Wendy was born with two loves: horses and the color purple. She was born to parents who (A) had no desire to be around horses ... (B) didn’t understand her love for them or her obsessive desire to be around them ... and (C) couldn’t understand her focus on living outside the “norm” of the day.
Ms. Gould spent many an hour learning to draw through reading library books, working on her own calligraphy style and subsequently selling her artwork through art shows and festivals. The more her body of work grew, the better the returns at the art shows became. When the firm she worked for closed, Wendy went out on the art show circuit full time - traveling to New England, and then the Mid-West.
Wendy traveled the country exhibiting in art shows from 1984-2009. As with all things, this time of her life came to a close when she decided that a life on the road was no longer desirable. It was time to stay home. She now sells her beautiful calligraphy designs online and through galleries, tack shops and up-scale theme shops nationwide. She resides near Lexington, Kentucky, lavishing in a horse-oriented community.
